Basalt Wines is a member of this forward thinking collective and offers daily tastings at the Cellar Door during spring (seasonal times apply, check for details) accompanied by some French/Spanish inspired tapas. The vineyard was establish in 2003 and for the several years has been actively involved in biodynamic conversion and production. The winery is located just 15kms outside Warrnambool in a little hamlet called Killarney settled by - you guessed it - Irish potato farmers in the 1850s. Drop in and try some of the biodynamic range.

Across the road from the Warrnambool Cheese & Butter Factory, in the heart of a major dairy farming region, Cheese World brings together a museum, free cheese tastings, a licensed restaurant, and a wide selection of local and regional wines.

Enjoy award-winning cheeses then step back in time! The museum is a tribute to the local region's hard-working farming families. It houses an extensive collection of farm implements and household items from everyday farm life in the early 1900s. 2016 commemorates the company's 125 year anniversary, and the Museum is featuring stories and artefacts outlining the company's major achievements from early beginnings to today. The 125 year historical display incorporates a timeline recognising the journey and transitions of the company and a pictorial information book featuring significant dairy farming families with early connections to the factory.

After dark - Bars

As the biggest city on the Great Ocean Road, Warrnambool has a diverse mix of after dark activities from bars with sink in comfy chairs, to raging dance floors and late night cocktails. For live music enthusiast, Warrnambool also plays host to local and travelling artists.
