BUS ROUTE

Northern and Eastern Areas

  1. Catch the No 2 route bus at the Lava Street interchange
  2. The No 2 bus route travels a route west through North West and East Warrnambool to the Gateway Plaza Shopping Centre, stopping en route.
    This route takes in some scenic areas adjacent to the Merri River and Russell’s Creek.  Some areas of interest include the Wollaston Bridge area and the Centro Shopping Centre.
  3. Passengers can return to the Lava Street Interchange on the No 2 bus or return on the No 4 or No 9 buses travelling through the Hopkins River area.

If passengers decide to spend some time at areas of interest they should check the timetable for the next scheduled bus.

BUS ROUTE

Hopkins River Area (East)

  1. Catch the No 4 or No 9 route bus from the Lava Street interchange.
  2. No 4 bus route travels through eastern Warrnambool via the Hopkins River, Lyndoch and the Gateway Plaza Shopping Centre to Tower Square and return.  No 9 bus travels through eastern Warrnambool via the Hopkins River Precinct, the Warrnambool Cemetery, Gateway Plaza Shopping Centre and continues on to Allansford.
  3. These routes take in the scenic areas along the Hopkins River.   Passengers who wish to visit the mouth of the Hopkins, Proudfoots Boathouse, or the whale watching platform should alight at the Lyndoch stop.    PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WHALE WATCHING PLATFORM IS ABOUT 3 KILOMETRES FROM THE LYNDOCH STOP.

Beach Foreshore (south)

  1. Catch the No 5 route bus at the Lava Street interchange.
  2. No 5 bus route travels along Pertobe Road passing the beaches, camping grounds, surf life saving club, and within walking distance to the breakwater and Thunder Point.  Check with the driver for the correct stops.  \

    If passengers decide to spend some time at areas of interest they should check the timetable for the next scheduled bus.
    Your driver is your best resource and will be happy to help you identify correct stops, etc.  Just ask!
